Works have just completed for OE Electrics, with the construction of a new £6.2million headquarters for the global electrical, power and data solutions company.
Built on a 2.27 hectare site, the building is situated over two floors and houses O.E's head office along with advanced manufacturing, research and development, assembly and distribution facilities.
The new facility will allow O.E to cater for increasing demand for its products and the growth will help create 144 office, assembly and apprenticeship roles over the next eight years.
It was funded with support from the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) after O.E secured a £500,000 grant from LEP to invest in job creation and expansion along with a further loan of £1million to help pay towards construction costs to aid business growth.
The steel framed building comprises two portal frames which form the main office and advanced manufacturing area. The exterior of the building was designed to compliment other buildings on the business park. External works include the creation of a service yard, car park, hard and soft landscaping and minor highway works.
